 The Checkered Cottage is a one of a kind shop established in 1999 and located at 135 West Jefferson in Kirkwood, Missouri. This quaint, historic St. Louis suburb makes an ideal home for the Checkered Cottage's blend of art, craft, and home products.Inside the Checkered Cottage you will find a
wonderful selection of high quality stencils
from a variety of design companies. You will
also find the area's most complete selection of
brass templates and embossing supplies, which
includes card stock, papers, ribbon, and a large
amount of related supplies. A nice
assortment of seasonal gift items is available
also at Checkered Cottage.
Also, don't forget to join us for classes at the Cottage. Our class schedule comes out every 3 months and includes embossing and
decorative painting classes. The classes offer a great opportunity to mix creativity with friendship, and go home with a hand made project. Barb, our exclusive decorative artist, offers painting projects that run 2 to 3 weeks on Thursday
afternoons and evenings. We offer a
complimentary Embossing Club which meets the
first Tuesday night of each month. Project samples are on display at the store when a new schedule comes out.
